Ruiz has led educators and students in participating in NASA Educational Programs through Space Centers in the United States for the past decade and a half. He created face-to-face and virtual programs so that international communities find interconnections that, like the explorations of the Universe, are born from the classroom.

His work transcends borders to institutions, educators, students and professionals along nine countries through OLA; Orbital Learning Alliance and his presence as a member of the Advisory Board of the International Aerospace Academy.
